Since graduation I have taken Kalani to various locations to practice what we both have learned. It is amazing - I have people who watch us go through the routines and want to know if I trained dogs. That is the progress she has made. No more jumping or knocking my daughter into the wall. She is not so easily distracted anymore either. We still have some issues with other dogs, which is a work in progress for both of us.

We start Level II soon. Life is good...

Asti is doing phenomenally! She is still entirely off lead and responds to commands from 20 feet away. I can tell her to sit from that far away when a car passes- and she doesn’t flinch or even seem scared by it. She is such a happy dog — making us all a very happy pack!

I would highly recommend Trinity Dog Training to anyone considering proper dog training. Other than love, it is the best thing you can give your pet.

Hi Rick, Lee and I are so happy with Bear after his time in boot camp. The difference is like night and day. Bear is much calmer, walks like a show dog, waits for me to go through doors first. The list goes on and on. Before we couldn’t put his collar or leash on without him biting or growling. Now he sits and waits, tail wagging. His manners have improved 100% and he is the little Bichon we hoped he was when we got him from Coastal poodle rescue. When you came to our house the first few times it was so interesting watching you train Bear and then have us do the same thing, unlike most trainers who come and put on a show and then leave and expect you to do the same.

You actually trained us as well. Rick you are a very talented dog trainer and we can’t say enough about you and your techniques. You saved Bear from going back to the rescue when we thought we were not going to be able to stop him from biting. You are by far, a miracle worker. Thanks again.

Our vet highly recommended Trinity Dog Training (now I can see why). After we met with Rick and saw the total control that he had over Audrey just by talking to her and touching her, we realized we had our own personal "DOG WHISPERER" trainer.

We enrolled her and the rest is history. Now Audrey ACTS LIKE A TOTAL LADY. She gives her love to everyone and obeys us using hand signs and gentle words.

Hello Rick,

It has been over a year now since McKenzie spent her week at boot camp and I wanted to let you know what a terrific dog she has become. Thanks so much for getting us off to a great start. Boone is a rescue dog, who, while he had some prior training, needed a refresher course and confidence building. Over the years I had worked with trainers in Chicago, so I have a reasonable basis for comparison. Rick Clift is uniquely gifted. He connects to the dog and his approach is sound and fair. Interaction with his demo dogs for play rounds out the package and makes for an enjoyable experience for the dog and the owner. You won't be disappointed and he won't promise results he can't deliver!

Gracie is doing so well and I am so impressed with her progress. Her listening skills have improved greatly and she is not getting in any where near as much trouble as she used to! She still loves to run and play and especially loves for others to chase her! Thank you so much for socializing Gracie, my other dogs play with her much more now. She misses Trouper and Anja. I have been able to take her over to friends houses and she greets them appropriately and is very well behaved, making her welcome to come back all the time.

Just a note to let you know how much I appreciate everything you did for Bodie in his obedience training. As you know, one of the worst problems I had with him was that he would get out of control after swimming in the pool. I would try to towel him off, and he would jump on me, nip at me, and play much too vigorously. I did NOT feel in control at all, and in fact felt a little intimidated and afraid. Now when he gets out of the pool, I do the hand "sit command", he sits, and I towel him off. I do the hand "stay command" and he sits there during the entire towel-off period. If he is frisky at first, once he sees my hand come up, he sits down and calms down. If I give him the 'down command', it will work to make him totally submit to me and I can then towel him off without any trouble.

I've also started walking with my daughter every day, in my neighborhood or in her neighborhood. We usually see several people and dogs also, many squirrels, and birds too. He is such a great walker now, he heels perfectly right beside me, and he does not try to lunge at people or run away to chase animals like he used to do prior to his obedience training.

The best thing about the training, is that I feel in control of him instead of him being in control of me. He is a big dog (over 70 lbs already, and 7 months old), and in order for me to be with him, I must be in control at all times. His obedience training allows me to take him anywhere with me and maintain control. We take him to Pet Smart, and he is loved by everyone in the store. He will even sit while little children come up to him and pet him.

Ramsey and I are quite happy and extremely lucky to have enrolled with Trinity Dog Training for our lessons. I adopted Ramsey from a Shepherd rescue group when he was only 16 months old and still very much full of puppy ways. He was strong willed and extremely stubborn but still sweet. One of the most important issues to me was to get him in control and not have to worry about him controlling me or others.

After our classes with Rick, it is such a comfort to know I can take Ramsey anywhere and have no problems with his behavior. He greets strangers that we come in contact with without jumping on them. He follows voice and hand commands now after graduating the classes. Both Ramsey and I have learned lessons from these classes that will stay with us for the rest of both of our lives. I can't say in words the thankfulness I feel toward Rick and Trinity Dog Training. I would without any hesitation full heartedly recommend Trinity Dog Training to everyone - even people who think they do not need training for their dog. Rick is so informative to what ever the question or problem you may be having with your dog. He knows all the answers and more importantly can train you to help your dog be at its best. If you work with your dog as he instructs you to you will have the same success I have experienced and a much more rewarding life with your companion. If you have any doubt on enrolling please dismiss it and go for the classes. You will be so glad you did for years to come after the class.

Max and Shyla are a pleasure to have around since they attended Boot Camp. Prior to it they were out of control. We could not comfortably walk them, control jumping and barking or take them out anywhere for fear of poor behavior. Now I am able to take both dogs for a walk at the same time, that was impossible before! Shyla’s aggression has almost dissipated and she is becoming more comfortable around new dogs. Feeding time is relaxed and there is no fighting over food. They simply sit and stay or lie down until we give the ok. It is fabulous.

Our house guests have all commented on how behaved and nice our dogs are. This is exactly what I always wanted for Max and Shyla.

Boot Camp has taught them how to act in an acceptable manner. More importantly, you have taught us how to handle our dogs. I believe we have been able to bond with them in a positive way since they came home. Although, I think they miss you, Anja, Jasper and Trouper…

Just a note to let you know that Sally our Shih Tsu is doing GREAT!! It has been over a month since graduation and she is every bit as wonderful a companion as we could possibly ask for. There is no more aggressiveness, nipping or biting and bad habits are non existent! Your training methods seem to have had a lasting effect on Sally and she seems to be a happy contented pooch. Thank you once again for all that you did for my little Ruffles. As you very well know, Ruffles is everything for me and has saved my life so to speak. Having this with his sudden behavior problems and anxiety, I thought that nothing could be done, but you and your training proved me and all the vets wrong.

Dear Rick,

We are writing to let you know how grateful we are to you for your help with Boxer and Diggetty. Since they attended Level I and Level II they have been a delight. We still have a hard time believing that you were able to transform the behaviors of our six year old dogs without dampening their spirited natures. They are still playful, fun-loving, cuddly companions yet now they behave well within the limits we've set for them. We are able to take them out for walks without struggling to maintain control and without having to worry that they will erupt with anxiety when we see another dog.

Just wanted to tell you that Cash has grown up and has become the perfect gentleman. I feel totally confident that I can take him anywhere without a problem. Thanks so much for the difference you made in Abbie's life. Your training has enabled her to look at people as possible friends instead of being convinced everyone was out to hurt her. Also, your suggestions regarding ongoing socialization have helped her to be calm in large groups of people, such as on charity walks, and calm at the dog park when other dogs are misbehaving. Before we brought her to you we were not able to have groups of people visit our home. Now she welcomes visitors politely by sitting and offering her paw (instead of lunging at them to bite).

We cannot begin to tell you how much we all appreciate what you have done for our family. Micki has always been a loving dog, but now she is calm and obedient. She seems to enjoy being the dog and we are enjoying being the leaders. We never imagined things would be this nice. We are now able to take her on outings we wouldn't have dared to before. We have been to the park and for walks outside our neighborhood. The three of us go on walks almost every night. You have opened up a whole new world for Micki and for us.

Rick is an amazing guy. I previously took Soldier (my miniature pincher) to obedience classes where he failed miserably. Within 5 minutes Rick had Soldier walking in heel, sitting, and actually paying attention. He taught my heathen some manners. More importantly he taught me how to keep it up. Our 4-year-old Bloodhound, Madison, began regularly chewing on inappropriate objects in the house. She also was aggressive to our other dog in the presence of treats or food. In addition, the move from a large, private yard to a neighborhood with a large dog population and lots of community property made leash-walks a hair-raising event (literally!). Between destroying new bedding ensembles and being uncontrollable on a leash, I had had enough, and began doing research on dog trainers in the area. I have to admit, I was skeptical about anyone being able to train Madison as she presented several key challenges to training. Previous efforts at training her had revealed that she had little drive to please people, was not food motivated, and was often fearful of new people or in new situations.

During hours of searching, I perused Trinity Dog Training’s website and was impressed by their training philosophy and experience... I particularly liked that Trinity Dog Training stood behind their training for the life of the dog; if I had a problem in the future, I could call them up and receive advice at no additional charge.

As the weeks progressed, Madison looked forward to her training sessions, and her behavior at home improved and her confidence grew. The training principles were common sense, fair, and easy to implement at home. At last, Madison understood her place in our home and what was expected of her…and I could walk Madison and Moose in our neighborhood without fear of a situation getting out of control. Within a month of beginning training, the destructive behavior ceased.

In addition, our relationship changed. She began to respect my husband and me. Staff members at work began to notice that Madison’s shyness was lessening. We are continuing to work to lessen her fear of strangers, but her progress has been remarkable since we began working with Trinity Dog Training. Based largely upon the success with Madison, I have referred many clients to Trinity Dog Training and am thrilled to say that they report great satisfaction with their experience. I feel that canine companionship is not a human right or even a necessity - it is a luxury, and as humans the onus is on us to provide for our canine companions. If you want the best possible relationship with your canine companion, consider training with Trinity Dog Training.

I wanted to take a brief opportunity to Thank you for all that you have done to help me with Taylor. As a single guy with no kids, my dogs, Taylor and Chelsea, mean the world to me. I used to be ashamed when people came to my home to visit and Taylor would jump up. I knew that she was not being aggressive, just friendly; still I used to dread having people come over and be assaulted by her greeting. I am now very proud of her behavior when we are at home and in public. The greatest complement I got came from my 11 year-old nephew. During the holidays, he commented on the difference and said she was doing very well.

Our training sessions have now progressed to more public areas and I am happy to report that she does very well and doesn’t break her commands. I will be starting her work as a therapy dog soon and hope that I can bring some joy to people who may need some cheering up. I have also had great success applying the same principles I learned in our lessons with Taylor to teach Chelsea. Thanks again for all the help.

Deb and I would like to extend our sincerest 'thank you' for the amazing job you did training Chappy. I have to admit, despite your claim that you could train 'any dog,' we were skeptical and, of course, believed that our dog would be the exception to your rule. How wrong we were!

In just 10 short days, you turned our little monster into the nicest, most disciplined English Bulldog in Orlando...

You have motivated me to work more consistently with Rusty. It is amazing how much difference just a little practice makes!

...He was going for the street and a car was coming...I called the come command and he did respond... he made a bee line for me as the car passed. It was like in slow motion or tunnel vision – I was so focused on Rusty. I gave him lots of praise when it was over and he responded to that. It was amazing!...

A little practice goes a long way. Also, there is a huge difference in how he reacts to strangers.

My name is Bongo Rosas and I'm a boot camper graduate. I was in boot camp because my parents love me very much but were a little confused on how to talk to me. I'm glad they sent me to you. You are able to talk doggie language and I felt like I was finally being understood. I learned that it's okay to listen to humans because the more I listen, the more they love me.

The best part of boot camp is that you taught my parents doggie language as well!

I feel like my parents and I understand each other better and enjoy each other more because of it. Now they know that my frowning face is only because of all my wrinkles...not because I'm unhappy!

I really miss learning from you, but enjoy home more after you came into our lives. Thanks!
